What We Believe

We Believe in the Trinity!

One God in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Go and Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

We Believe the Bible is God’s Word and without error.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God made be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)

We Believe that Jesus paid for our sins!

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 3:23 (ESV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23 (ESV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (ESV)

We Believe that Jesus is the only Salvation!

Jesus is one of three things; a liar, a lunatic or the Lord. He cannot be a good teacher only.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6 (ESV)

We believe receiving Jesus is a free gift!

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of words, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-9

We Believe in receiving God’s Incredible Grace through God’s Word (the Bible), through Baptism and taking Holy Communion.

God comes to us!

Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:3-4 (ESV)

We baptize all ages including infants

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:3-6 (ESV)

We believe in the Real Presence

The Risen Christ is in, with and under the bread and wine in communion! We receive Christ’s grace in Holy Communion.

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Luke 22:19-20 (ESV)

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.

John 6:53-56 (ESV)

We believe in the 6 Days Creation.

A day is 24 hours. The earth is only about 6,000 years old.

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 20:11

We believe marriage is between a man and a woman.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

Genesis 2:24

We Believe in Pro-Life issues!

We encourage life over suicide, adoption over abortion, and God time in death over euthanasia passing. We know life happens and choices are made quickly! After decisions are made there is regret and despair but there is also love, forgiveness and hope in Christ! Regarding suicide – we believe no last act here on earth will tell you where you will be after death! It’s Jesus’ last act on the cross that guarantee your place in Heaven. Seek pastor or professional counseling for restoration after struggling with impacts of a decision against life.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb, I praise you, for I am wonderfully made. Wonder are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my uniformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 139:13-16 (ESV)

We Believe every time we come to God and ask for forgiveness, God grants us forgiveness!

And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”

John 8:7-11 (ESV)

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:13 (ESV)

We Believe in the Apostle Creed, Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed
